The Moat School
Description
The Moat School is a specialist school for pupils with specific learning needs (SpLD) such as dyslexia and dyspraxia; specialist in structure yet mainstream in nature. The Moat recognises that SpLD learners often face great difficulties closing the gap between their potential and their performance. Therefore, every aspect of the education provided is designed to support pupils whilst they meet the challenge of bridging this gap.
Whatever challenges pupils face when they first come to The Moat, they leave as confident independent young people. The School invests in lifelong learning and for many, the experience is transformational. The school is CReSTeD accredited and offers all its pupils the opportunity to access assistive technology and therapies such as speech and language, music and occupational therapy.
