Established in 1749, St Edmund's is a friendly, vibrant co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 3 – 18 that provides a lively, challenging education in a nurturing environment and is proud to be the choir school for Canterbury Cathedral.
Academic standards are set high and the school is proud of its examination results. Alongside a supportive environment and an academic enrichment programme, the excellent teaching staff ensures that pupils are prepared and leave as well-educated and confident young people who go on to top universities.
Extra-curricular – A St Edmund’s education offers a range of exciting, adventurous and inspiring options. Beyond the classroom there is a strong sporting provision and opportunities in music, drama, dance and art.
Boarding at St Edmund’s offers a family experience which values the individual whilst offering a stimulating environment for pupils from a wide range of cultures. There is a dedicated EAL department to help those pupils whose first language is not English.
Location - The school is located on a beautiful site overlooking the vibrant, historic city of Canterbury ideally situated in south of England with fast rail and road links to London and Europe.
