Godstowe School

Godstowe is a happy and thriving preparatory school for girls aged 7 to 13, approximately a third of whom are boarders. We also have a lively Pre-Prep and Nursery for girls and boys aged 3 to 7.

With outstanding, highly qualified teaching staff, excellent facilities including a brand new competition-sized swimming pool, wonderful surroundings, a non-selective intake policy and a positive and industrious atmosphere, Godstowe is alive with opportunity.

At Godstowe, we care enough to put personal development at the heart of everything we do. In our opinion, it is more important than anything else and needs to be pivotal in any education programme. We care enough to build our curriculum around the needs of our children and we care enough to ensure that it is accessible to everyone, whatever their ability. Our ethos is simple. All we want is for our girls and boys to be Confident, Happy and Successful. Indeed, if the first two are true, the third will almost certainly follow.

We provide an outstanding preparation for senior school, and are always mindful of the fact that just as important as what girls know will be what they are like. Enjoyment, at Godstowe, is compulsory. In 2019, 33 scholarships and exhibitions were awarded to top senior schools.
